It’s back to school time, which means when that after school hunger strikes you need to be prepared!

We’ve got lots of great options for healthy snack recipes as well as tips and tricks to make your life so much easier.

Tips to Prep Healthy Snacks for the Week

The key to healthy snacking is to be prepared! Which is easier said than done. Here are a few tips that can help you start the new school year off with a healthier snack options for your and the little ones in life your life.

  • Plan Ahead – Making a plan is the key to success! Pick what recipe you want to prep for the week, make a list of the ingredients you need to buy or maybe stock up on staples, see what produce is on sale or local at the farmers market.
  • Prep Fruits and Veggies – I find that if our produce is washed, chopped, and ready to go we are more likely to grab that for a snack or lunch. We use this tray store everything in! It makes lunchtime or snacks a breeze because everything is ready, just pull the tray out and add it to the lunchbox in the evening or put it on the table for the quick after school rage hunger! If you refill it each night it’ll be all set the next time hunger strikes.
  • Make Recipes in Bulk – If you pick one or two recipes you want to make in bulk it will simply your prep time. You could make a double (or quadruple) batch of you favorite energy ball recipe to freeze and have on hand. You can make a double batch of muffins to freeze or make smoothie packs to have ready to pull out of the freezer.

With a little planning and prep time you can have lots of quick healthy options on hand for snack time! Plus it makes the week so much easier!
