Why You Should Make This
- Cute treats for Halloween parties or after-school snacks for the kids.
- No bake spider web pretzels are delicious sweet and salty treats.
- Celebrate spooky season in a sweet and colorful way!
Recipe Ingredients
These chocolate pretzel spider webs require 3 simple ingredients. We will need:
- pretzel sticks – it’s important to use pretzels sticks, as these will form the shape of the spider webs. You can use gluten-free pretzels, if needed.
- white chocolate chips – white chocolate gives off all those spider web vibes, but you can use milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate chips, or dark chocolate chips for the spider web chocolate. White candy melts or black candy melts will also work.
- coconut oil (optional) – I like to add a little coconut oil to thin the white chocolate because it can be on the thick side, but totally not necessary. It will depend on what kind of white chocolate you have.
- sprinkles – you can’t have Halloween without some sprinkles! I like to pick up a jar of Halloween sprinkles and maybe some googly eyes, but use whatever you have on hand.

How to Make Chocolate Pretzel Spiderwebs
Halloween pretzel spider webs are a fun activity for the kid in all of us! Here are the step-by-step instructions:
form spiderwebs with pretzel sticks:
Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or wax paper.
Form spider webs on the baking sheet using 8 pretzel sticks for each spider web, shaped into a circular pattern.

melt chocolate:
Melt chocolate chips in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until completely melted and smooth.
Add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil if you find the chocolate is super thick.
TIP: For extra precaution, you can also melt the chocolate over a double-boiler. Using the microwave to melt chocolate is also an option.
Transfer the chocolate to a small piping bag or plastic Ziploc bag. Cut off a small corner of the bag to make a small tip.

make the chocolate webs:
Add melted chocolate into the center of the pretzels (about the size of a dime).
Then go around the pretzel sticks in a circular motion, working your way out to the end of each pretzel. Make sure to go over several times so the chocolate holds.

add sprinkles:
Finish with sprinkles while the chocolate is still warm. Place in the fridge to set.

Tips for Success Making Chocolate Spiderwebs
Here are some of my expert tips for making the best spider web pretzels recipe:
- shape the pretzels first: I like to shape the pretzel circles first before melting the chocolate so everything is prepped and ready for assembly.
- slowly melt the white chocolate: white chocolate is very temperamental and tends to burn easily. Slowly melt it over low heat and stir constantly.
- add chocolate to the center first: a center blob of chocolate will help hold the pretzels together, so make sure you add a good amount here.
- option to use squeeze bottles: while I found a small plastic bag worked to pipe the chocolate, you can also transfer the chocolate to a small squeeze bottle.
- Parchment paper is a must: using parchment paper is the easiest way to ensure the spider webs will stay intact when the chocolate has set. Wax paper is also fine.

Serving Suggestions
These pretzel spider webs make a great addition to any Halloween party or school lunch boxes. If you have any fall bake sales scheduled for the school year, these would be great tied up in little plastic baggies.
These white chocolate spider web pretzels go over so well with kids! My little one absolutely adored them and they wanted to share them with all their friends.
How to Store Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Leftover chocolate spiderweb pretzels can be stored in an airtight container or individual plastic bags for 3-4 days.
I like to set them in the fridge just after assembly, but they are perfectly fine to store at room temperature.

Recipe FAQs
How do I adhere the pretzels?
The melted chocolate will adhere the pretzels as soon as the chocolate sets. You can add another layer of chocolate to the back side once the first layer of chocolate hardens if you want the spider webs even sturdier.
How do I get the chocolate to harden?
Place the candy spiderwebs in the fridge for at least 5 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
What’s a good dessert to make for Halloween?

Spider Web Pretzels
Ingredients
- 64 pretzel sticks, enough for 8 spider webs
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil, optional
- Halloween sprinkles
Instructions
- Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Arrange spider webs using 8 pretzels for each spider web. I did 4 spider webs per baking sheet. Set aside while you melt chocolate.
- Melt chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips, stirring frequently until completely melted and smooth. Option to add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil here if you find your chocolate is super thick. Transfer chocolate to piping bag and cut small tip off end. (Or plastic baggie with tip cut off.)
- Assemble: Staring with the center of the pretzels, add melted chocolate over center – this is what will help hold the pretzels together, so make sure you add a good amount here. Then go around the pretzel sticks in a circle multiple times, creating the spider web. Make sure to go over enough times so the chocolate holds.
- Add sprinkles if desired, while chocolate is still warm.
- Store in fridge to set, about 10 minutes.
