But for real the simplest, most flavorful goat cheese avocado toast you’ll ever have.

While this post is sponsored by CHEVOO, all opinions expressed are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands I trust to work with making Fit Mitten Kitchen possible!

I know I’ve said this before but can you believe I didn’t have my first avocado until I was 21? And now it is one of my favorite foods. I can’t imagine my life without it now. Okay… that’s a little dramatic, talking about food in such a way… but you get it right? If you follow me on Instagram and see the occasional savory breakfast post, you are likely familiar with my love for avocado… Add some goat cheese on top and I fall in love all over again . I swear the two can do no wrong.

But what’s even better than plain ole chèvre with avocado?

Marinated goat cheese. YES, it’s a thing. Made by my friends over at CHEVOO–a small family owned business in wine country of Northern California. Earlier this year CHEVOO was kind enough to send me some just to try– after seeing my infinite goat cheese breakfast posts on IG 😉  When I first tried it I was so impressed with the flavor profile and the creaminess. I had never had anything like it before! Fast forward to now and I am very excited to introduce them to you here as a new FMK partner this year!

So what makes CHEVOO so special? They use high quality goat curd hand blended with a combination of spices, herbs, chilis and pollens. It is then paired with an extra virgin olive oil blend that has been infused with crushed  botanicals up to 8 weeks. So much goodness happening in this chèvre.

The Flavors

Smoke Sea Salt & Rosemary

California Dill Pollen & Garlic

Aleppo-Urfa Chili & Lemon

CHEVOO goat cheese

This CHEVOO is great on so many things, but my go-to is definitely avocado toast. It’s simple, quick and makes for an amazing savory breakfast.

All you need is

  • your favorite bread–I opted for sourdough from Roma Bakery, a local bakery and deli here in Lansing
  • a ripe avocado
  • favorite CHEVOO flavor

Toast your bread

Prepare your avocado to your liking–mashed, sliced, guacamole perhaps if feeling extra fancy?– and spread it on toast.

Top with marinated goat cheese

Yup. It’s that simple and you have one helluva good avocado toast.

You can spread the CHEVOO into the mashed avocado, or break apart the chunks and top it off that way. Don’t forget to add some of the EVOO on there for added flavor 😀

Oh, and yes… this avocado toast is loaded with healthy fats. Avocado and extra virgin olive oil are some of the healthiest fats you can have in your diet, so no need to fear them. 🙂 A balance of real, whole foods (both carbs and fats) is key.

Ok, now this looks absolutely amazing-sauce Ashley; I love that they are little chunks and then you can spread them into creamy deliciousness over your toast. That is SO cool that you are working with a small company; my blogger friends open up the world to small businesses for me every day. 🙂
