- 10 ounce bag dark chocolate chips use high quality chocolate
- pretzels use gluten free as needed
- candy corn
- m&m candies
- googly eyes
- Halloween sprinkles
Melt the chocolate: In a medium skillet over low heat, melt chocolate chips, stirring frequently until smooth. Or use microwave safe bowl on half power, for 30 second increments, stirring in between until fully melted.
Add melted chocolate to lined baking sheet: Spread the chocolate into an even layer onto parchment lined baking sheet, about 1/4" thick.
Add toppings: While the chocolate is still melted, start to add on the pretzels, candy corn, m&m candies, googly eyes and the Halloween sprinkles. Have fun with this and use whatever you'd like!
Let it set: You can pop the baking sheet into the fridge to quickly set the chocolate, then use a large sharp knife to cut your chocolate bark into pieces. Tip: Make sure chocolate is not super solid cold before cutting into if you want clean cuts.
Storing at Room Temperature: Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Avoid areas with direct sunlight or heat to prevent the chocolate from melting.
Refrigeration: If you live in a warm climate or want to extend the shelf life, you can store the bark in the refrigerator. Place it in an airtight container or wrap it tightly in plastic wrap to avoid moisture exposure.
Freezing: Chocolate bark can also be frozen for longer storage. Wrap individual pieces in wax paper or parchment paper, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container. Make sure to remove as much air as possible from the bag to prevent freezer burn.
