What You Need

For these cinnamon rolls you need flour, instant yeast, brown sugar, plant based butter, sea salt, bananas, peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and milk.

Add yeast and sugar into large mixing bowl and gently add warm milk. Stir until combined and allow to sit for 10 minutes, until top is foamy.

Step One

Mix in butter and banana. Add flour, salt, and nutmeg – about ½ cup at a time. Change to dough hook and knead on low for about 5 minutes.

Step Two

Oil bowl and shape dough into ball. Place dough in bowl and cover with towel. Let rise in warm environment.

Step Three

Let dough rise until it has doubled in size, for about 45 minutes.

Step Four

Roll out dough into a 15×9 inch rectangle. Spread on softened butter and peanut butter.

Step Five

Sprinkle on brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Gently pat to let sugar absorb into butter slightly.

Step Six

Place sliced bananas flat on dough. Using the heels of your hands and thumbs, gently roll dough into a long roll, placing seam side down.

Step Seven

Trim off ends, then gently slice rolls into about 1 1/2″ width. You should get 12 rolls for a 9×13 pan.

Step Eight

Place rolls in greased pan, leaving room to rise, and put pan in draft-free environment.

Step Nine

Once the rolls have risen again slightly, bake at 350ºF for 18-20 minutes, until lightly browned.

Step Ten

Whisk together peanut butter, confectioners sugar, vanilla extract and milk.

Step Eleven

Pour glaze over cinnamon rolls and serve warm! They’re fluffy, flavorful and just delicious.
