Chex Mix  Recipe

HOMEMADE

Why You'll Love It!

Sharing my family’s old recipe (from my great grandma Mildred!) for homemade chex mix! It’s a family tradition to make this around the holidays and everyone gets a container to take home.

What You Need

For this homemade chex mix recipe you need mixed nuts, mini pretzels, cereal, butter, seasoning salt, worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, onion and garlic powder.

Melt butter and stir in Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Then mix in cereal and nuts with a large wooden spoon.

Step One

Time to bake! You’ll bake the chex mix at 250ºF for one hour total, stirring every 15 minutes.

Step Two

To speed up the cooling process, I spread out the chex mix on baking sheets, so the mixture is cooling in one layer.

Step Three

An easy recipe that can be made in one pan. Makes a large batch perfect for parties, gift giving, anything!

STORING

Store in a closed container, such as holiday tins, glass containers, or jars to give as gifts!

Great Grandma’s homemade chex mix recipe is a holiday classic!
