Delicious and flavorful Pineapple Turkey Tacos, ready in 20 minutes for an easy weeknight meal. Add your favorite toppings, make into a taco salad if you wish! Gluten free and paleo friendly.

Pineapple Turkey Tacos

  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • ½ tablespoon minced garlic
  • Oil for cooking
  • 1 pound ground turkey (97% lean)
  • 1 tablespoon homemade taco seasoning
  • ⅔ cup diced pineapple
  • ½ cup salsa (I use jarred)
  • taco shells 

For Serving

  • sliced red cabbage
  • diced red bell pepper
  • shredded lettuce
  • avocado slices
  • cilantro
  • lime juice

Instructions

  1. Add oil to large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add ground turkey and taco seasoning, cooking until almost brown then add pineapple and salsa, simmer until meat is done.
  3. Make tacos with desired toppings. I like a little red cabbage, diced bell pepper, fresh pineapple, avocado slices, cilantro and some fresh lime.
