Heyooo. TGIF. Us gals and guys workin that 9-5. It can be a killer sometimes, am I right?
While surfing the interwebs in the evenings this past week, I came across some “oh yes, everyone needs to see this” links.
So let’s get to it, shall we?

5 Tips for Curating Epic Workout Playlists >> Giselle from Diary of an Ex-Sloth gave us some tips on getting motivated for workouts through music playlists. I’m a huge fan of music (growing up dancing might have something to do with that), and I could totally relate to needing my iPod every time I went to the gym in college. My workouts seriously suffered if I didn’t have it with me. My favorite tip she gave was using group fitness classes for inspiration. The music group fitness classes use are the PERFECT combination of getting hyped up and taking a breather.
Hip Flexor Stretches >> So I’ve got some major tight hips. And while I am pretty good at foam rolling (I use this one) and stretching most of the time before/after workouts, I could definitely be better at making it more of a habit at home before bed. Natalie from A Fit Philosophy shared a couple great stretches to get you started.

Chocolate Chai Tea Smoothie >> For how much I love chocolate and chai, I’m surprised with myself that I haven’t had it in smoothie form yet! Brie from Lean, Clean, and Brie shared this wonderful creation with us earlier this week and I cannot wait to get more chai tea and give this drink a try! Obviously it would pair great with these bars (just sayin’) 😉
Lazy Thai Ginger Pumpkin Soup with Coconut Cream >> I am alllll over this “lazy” soup thing. Katie from Honestly Nourished used canned pumpkin puree and coconut milk to make this soup fairly simple. Plus she has some divine flavors going on in this recipe. Ginger and kaffir lime!? YUM.
One Pot Shrimp Jambalaya Lentil Bowls >> Okay so I’ve never made jambalaya (or gumbo) before but this looks insanely good. Lindsay at Cotter Crunch has put a healthy, grain-free spin on it, which I obviously adore. Pretty sure when I go to the grocery store this weekend I am stocking up on all of the ingredients for this. I love everything Lindsay makes (and all of her wonderful nutrition she provides!), so I can’t wait to try this recipe.

So if you haven’t heard of Sally’s Baking Addiction, I’m betting you’ve been living under a rock. Okay, maybe you’re just not familiar with the getting recipes from world wide web (though she does have two cookbooks now…) which is totally cool. But I’ve pretty much been obsessed with Sally’s recipes since… I’m not even sure when to be quite honest but definitely a couple years now! Most of her recipes are traditional baked goods, but she has some healthy meals and snacks in there too. One of the things I love most about Sally’s blog (other than her gorgeous photos) is the way she writes her recipes. She really takes the time to explain to you the ingredients, why she is using them, and tips along the way. SO helpful for someone just starting out baking or just wanting to be precise with everything (i.e. me and my OCD tendencies…). Just the other day Sally shared another one of her “Baking Basics” posts, which I LOVED, because it talks about freezing COOKIE DOUGH. I actually used one of the methods she talks about when I made cookies for my wedding. You can check out her post here!
Alright SO. I’m sure many of you have already seen this, but JUST in case… I have to share it here too. I didn’t catch the CMA’s live (we may or may have not started season 5 of Dexter… Okay, and honestly I don’t typically catch the CMA’s live, whatevs) but I heard about this performance the next morning, pretty much as soon as I got on my phone. And I’d be lying if I told you I knew who Chris Stapleton was but obviously I’m well aware of the talented (and adorable, cute, good-looking) Justin Timberlake. *swoon* If you’re a music fan, or just want to see Justin Timberlake rocking out, you should watch.
Can you guys believe we are just about through the first week of NOVEMBER?!?!! Gaaahhhhh. Cuhrayzayyy.
Any big plans this weekend? Anyone? Are there any movies playing worth seeing?! Lemme know.
Have a great weekend party people. Can’t wait to share some delicious goodies next week 😉

Such a great roundup that’s sure to keep me busy all morning (because who really wants to work on Mondays?!). Thanks so much for including my lazy soup! I hope you enjoy it! I’ll definitely be using that hip flexor stretch guide often, too! XX
