Hey friends! Been a while since I’ve posted a workout for you all. And with the chaos that can sometimes surround the holiday season, I figured why not share something to get that heart rate up and the fat burning?! I mean, I’ve definitely had my fair share of cookies since I’ve been home the past few days. And it felt good to get in this high-energy workout.
Since I am home at my parents for a week, I wanted something fairly simple that I could do in a small space. I did bring home my kettlebell, hence incorporating it into the workout, but these moves could also be done with a large dumbbell.
THE WARM-UP:
Is actually more of a beginning to the workout, because let me tell you, it’ll feel like a long two minutes! You’ll do 10 180 jump squats, then 5 push-ups. And continue in that sequence for two minutes until the timer is up!
(rest for about 1 minute or so)
KETTLEBELL ROUND:
Set your timer for seven minutes. Complete swings, goblet squats, push-press, then single-leg deadlifts, each for 10 repetitions (five reps per leg on the deadlifts). Complete as many rounds through as possible until seven minutes is up. You’ll be using the kettlebell during each exercise in this round (if you are able).
(rest about 1 minute or so)
CARDIO ROUND:
Set your timer for seven minutes again. Complete high-knees, mountain climbers, tuck jumps, then backwards stepping lunges. You’ll do 10 high-knees, right-left knee= one repetition. Same goes for mountain climbers. So 20 reps if you’re counting each leg as one. Then do five backwards stepping lunges/leg (so 10 reps if you’re counting each leg as one).
(rest about 1 minute or so)
FINISHER:
So here you’re actually just repeating the warm-up. Which at this point, will feel like death. And you’re not going to want to do it. BUT JUST DO IT. You’ll feel great afterwards 😉 You can do anything for 2 minutes, right?
END WITH CORE:
Then if your heart so desires, finish up with a few minutes of some core!
So do this 25 minute kettlebell cardio workout and start your day off with a good sweat session! ? Don’t forget to foam roll and stretch before/after! ?

EEE 2 more days til Christmas! I finally just finished up my shopping yesterday, and will have to finish up my wrapping today.
SO what is on your list of last-minute to-do’s? Me? I’ve got to hit up the grocery store and get the necessary ingredients for some EGG BAKE! ? Then all my sisters are finally home so I am hoping The Family Stone will be happening later 😉 (tradition) ?
Not sure when I’ll be back to the blog yet, so in case it isn’t for another week, hope everyone enjoys their holidays with friends and family!
??⛄️❤️

Ohh I love kettlebell workouts. Right now it’s hard for me to modify for my boot but I’m definitely still getting my strength training in (which is probably the reason I’m in this boot in the first place – lack of strength training). If you have any recommendations for low impacts or boot-friendly kettlebell workouts – send ’em my way!! 🙂

Oh man, boot-friendly kettlebell exercises. lol I’ll have to think on that. Single arm presses? Haha, can’t wait for you to get out of that thing!

I totally LOVE kettlebells, even though I usually just use mine for swings and some goblet squats, still one of my favorites!
